DescriptionIn this role you will be responsible for all staff, student and volunteer and resident/fellow Human Resources processes. Including, but not limited to, onboarding/offboarding, benefits administration, required trainings, recruitment, payroll and leaves of absences. Prepare and provide high level analysis on all UCPath actions. Review all proposed actions for compliance with Personnel Policies for Staff (PPS) and Collective Bargaining Contracts (CBC) and procedures. Responsible for recruitment activities, verify the existence of funding to support requested actions. Prepare and analyze reports, as requested. Other duties, as assigned. Salary Range: $50,700 - $100,300Qualifications* Comprehensive knowledge of University personnel and payroll transaction processes and employee benefits. * Skill in using PC, web-based programs, Microsoft Office Programs and UC Payroll and Personnel Systems- UCPath and HBS. * Ability to write and edit grammatically correct business correspondence. * Math skills to calculate salaries, audit time records and leave accruals. * Working knowledge of University staff personnel policies and procedures and labor contracts * Working knowledge of the Work-Study program policies and procedures * Skill in dealing with confidential matters with tact, sensitivity, and discretion * Skill in writing to prepare letters and memos * Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of management including faculty, staff and residents * Ability to maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers, supervisors, and faculty * Knowledge of information/resources within the University. * Ability to work independently with minimal direction, establish priorities, and follow-through on assignments in a timely manner under conditions of fluctuating workloads, competing requirements, and changing deadlines and assignments. * Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
