We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Supply Chain team as Manager, Supply Chain Material Planning. This Manager will have responsibility for managing material demand and supply planning to ensure finished good manufacturing operations are supported with available raw material for Kite's collective demand at the finished good level for commercial and clinicals products. Collaboration across functions through a Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) process is key to success in the role to build an effective and efficient planning process.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):

  • Builds and/or supports the development of the material planning process for commercial and clinical product
  • Builds consensus material forecast in collaboration with Network S&OP organization
  • Actively seek and build scenarios based on volume (high case, base case and others) and timelines
  • Develop site supply plans and or develop vendor supply requirements to assure material availability for Clinical and Commercial FG manufacturing
  • Proactively identify and mitigate any potential supply interruptions
  • Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders including Manufacturing, Quality, Regulatory, Clinical Operations, Product Sciences, Finance and others to align on assumptions and plans that impact demand and supply
  • Lead monthly Supply Review Meeting as part of the S&OP process to routinely review demand, align with internal and external manufacturing capacity and resulting financials to give a full view of the operational plan and support management decision making
  • Ensure sufficient supplies of key raw materials to support clinical trials and commercial launch
  • Support inventory forecasting activities for clinical and commercial production runs
  • Define and analyze key performance metrics and trends to drive improvements in supply management based on supply availability, financial budget, and expiry risk.
  • Interface with all levels of organization, including senior management
  • Deliver presentations and make recommendations to Senior Tech Ops, Clinical, and Commercial leadership
  • Other duties as assigned


    Basic Qualifications:
    • MS / MA Degree with 4+ years of Supply Chain and/or S&OP and/or Project Management and/or Operations Management experience - OR -
    • BS / BA Degree with 6+ years of Supply Chain and/or S&OP and/or Project Management and/or Operations Management experience - OR -
    • High School Degree with 10+ years of Supply Chain and/or S&OP and/or Project Management and/or Operations Management experience


      Preferred Qualifications:
      • Bachelor's/Master's Degree and 2 years of operations or supply chain experience in life sciences industry or Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of operations or supply chain experience in life sciences industry
      • Strong background in one or more of the following: operations, GMP processes, supply chain material planning
      • Knowledge of end to end supply chain
      • Ability to communicate and collaborate across different stakeholders (Finance, Manufacturing, Logistics, Quality, Supply Chain and Facilities)
      • Advanced qualitative and quantitative analytical skills to evaluate and interpret complex problems using multiple sources of information
      • Good business acumen, ability to think strategically and analytically, including financial analysis
      • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills including presentations and ability to influence all levels of staff, including executives
      • Skilled with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
      • Experience with Kinaxis RapidResponse a huge plus
      • Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast paced environment while delivery a timely and high quality end work product
      • Self-directed and able to work independently with minimal direction
      • Works well in a dynamic, fast-changing environment
      • Adaptable and enthusiastic team player
