Production Music House under Sony Music Publishing. Job Purpose:
You will be working with the Technology Department and Audio Team
to maintain the company's digital audio assets, ensuring the
quality of metadata, artwork, and sound. You'll be responsible for
delivering our library to clients through various means, including
physical hard drives, FTP, or third-party systems. You will also be
working to identify, specify, and implement automations and
workflow improvements. What You'll Do: Maintaining Digital Content,
Assets, and Documentation Create quarterly updates to hard drives
that will be delivered to clients. Prepare audio files and custom
reports for delivery to clients (either on-demand or according to
agreed schedules). Write and update delivery documentation, logging
any changes of procedure, delivery specification, or
point-of-contact. Assist with outlining strategies for deliveries.
Technical and Support Contact for Staff and Clients Oversee hard
drive and file-related issues, coordinating with staff and clients
to resolve problems. Work with global teams to answer questions on
track metadata and copyrights. Use or suggest alternative delivery
methods to ensure clients receive their requested files. Escalate
issues with files or delivery systems to internal/external teams as
necessary. Quality Control Perform routine testing and verification
of physical inventory, deliverables, and processes, coordinating
with the Information Systems Analyst to ensure systems are
performing to specification. Ensure all third-party systems are
up-to-date, consistent, and have accurate metadata. Monitor the
back catalog for missing or incorrect data on all fields and
execute corrections in Backstage. Monitor website search results
and link/unlink terms within Backstage to ensure search
functionality is well-optimized. Coordinate with Music Supervisors
and the Music Services Team to identify and perform catalog-wide
metadata changes in Backstage. Who You Are: Excellent
communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Excellent
problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate technical ideas or
problems succinctly and understandably to non-technical people,
both verbally and in writing. Excellent attention to detail with
the ability to work at a fast pace, prioritize, and multitask
without sacrificing quality. Strong cross-platform experience with
the ability to work smoothly on both macOS and Windows. Strong
experience using the Windows and macOS command line. Strong
proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with digital file
formatting and bulk file renaming. Experience using FTP clients and
accessing Amazon S3 buckets. Experience using Soundminer and Avid
is a plus (e.g. metadata embedding, file exports, and playlist or
bin creation). Experience with Batch, Bash, or Python is a plus.
Familiarity with Jira/Confluence is a plus. Video and sound editing
experience is a plus. College degree or equivalent. What We Give
