What you will do
Performs general maintenance and
repair of equipment and buildings requiring practical skill and
knowledge (but not proficiency) in such trades as painting,
carpentry, plumbing, masonry, and electrical work. Work involves a
variety of the following duties: replacing electrical receptacles,
wires, switches, fixtures, and motors, using plaster or compound to
patch minor holes and cracks in walls and ceilings, repairing or
replacing sinks, water coolers, and toilets painting structures and
equipment; repairing or replacing concrete floors, steps, and
sidewalks, replacing damaged paneling and floor tiles, hanging
doors and installing door locks, replacing broken window panes, and
performing general maintenance on equipment and

Shift: First Shift. Hours will
be around 9:00am - 5:00pm, Monday-Friday.

How you will do it
1. Assists in performing routine
repair of structures, which may include wall repairs, carpet
installation, sanding walls in preparation for painting, painting,

on heating, cooling and other equipment.
3. Must comply with work order system
to include interpreting work orders, performing work requested and
completing work orders per instruction.
4. Mixes appropriate chemical(s) (i.e.
cleaning, fertilizer, construction compounds) per manufacturer's

minor electrical devices.
6. May operate and maintain heavy
equipment such as floor scrubbers, buffers, waxing machines,
forklifts or groundskeeping equipment such front end loaders or a

9. May assist in layout, construction
and repair of a variety of plant or office structures such as

11. Assists with securing assigned
area(s). May perform routine security tours of buildings and

3. Two (2) or more years of
general maintenance experience
4. Must possess a valid driver’s

6. Must be physically able to perform
maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which includes ability
to: climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift heavy objects
weighing up to 50 lbs., etc.
7. The ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security
clearance. (This involves a background/character, criminal history,
employment, and credit check.)
