The Manager, Legal will work on complicated U.S and cross-border
development deals, acquisitions, joint ventures and management
agreements. This person will support the VP, Legal in various
corporate matters with a focus on Welltower's seniors housing and
active adult business lines. Location is flexible and you can work
out of any of the following office locations: Toledo, OH; New York,
NY; Dallas, TX; Jupiter, FL; Santa Monica, CA; or Remote office
* Advising investment teams on U.S. and cross-border development
deals, acquisitions, joint ventures and management agreements and
providing guidance and subject matter expertise on documentation
related thereto. * Supporting the investment teams in complex
negotiations while considering business needs and strategic
consequences to possible outcomes. * Interacting closely with
Welltower's Investment, Business Development and Tax Teams. *
Advising on day-to-day asset management related questions and
issues. * Developing conclusions and summarizing recommendations to
senior management. * Providing research, drafting and other support
as necessary for various corporate initiatives, including to risk
management and human capital. * Managing outside counsel.

* Dynamic and flexible self-starter who is able to interact

deadlines and strong organizational skills. * Prior experience
representing REITs, with a focus on senior housing a plus. * Must
have strong verbal and written communication skills. * Experience
representing clients on real estate development joint ventures and
projects is a plus.
Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
Education: J.D. from an accredited law school with outstanding
academic performance demonstrated. Admission in good standing to
the Bar and licensed in the state in which you work.
Experience: A minimum of 4 years real estate experience gained
at a top tier law firm.
