Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Labor and Delivery - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 12/01/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position requiring a CA RN license and advanced fetal monitoring certifications. Responsibilities - Work in a hospital Labor & Delivery unit with 4 antepartum rooms, 9 labor/high-risk rooms, and 3 triage rooms - Care for high-risk pregnancy and participate in fetal heart monitoring, vaginal deliveries, and C-sections - Float to postpartum as needed, including couplet care for mother and newborn - Night shifts (3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30) with every other weekend required - No on-call required - EMR: Epic experience required - Assist with high-risk pregnancies, operative deliveries and provide support in triage and postpartum units as needed - Required to work at least 3 of the 5 main holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) - Travelers may be required to float between all facilities within the state - Return staff allowed after 3 months from last assignment - RNs wear navy blue scrubs; L&D/OR scrubs provided - Pre-employment modules required prior to starting assignment - Parking available for a fee at the hospital or alternate lot - Candidates within a 50-mile radius considered local Requirements - Active CA RN license in hand at time of submission - Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience required - Certifications required: AWHONN Advanced or NCC EFM, ACLS, BLS, NRP, FHM (all AHA issued for ACLS/BLS) - Fetal heart monitoring and high-risk pregnancy experience required - 2 supervisory references from the last 3 years covering at least 1 year in a comparable specialty - LA Fire Card required within the last 30 days - SSN and DOB required for consideration - Epic charting experience required - First-time travelers are not accepted - Pending licenses not accepted Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-628003.
