line care and management - PICC line management - Starting and
maintaining IVs - Continuous IV sedation administration -
Procedural sedation administration - Titrating cardiac drips -
Titrating vasoactive drips - CVA and acute stroke management -
External ventricular drain management - Hypothermia protocol and
Arctic Sun - ICP monitoring - Post neurosurgery management -
Management of traumatic brain injury - Assisting with management of

Interpretation of arterial blood gases - Suctioning (endotracheal
and nasal tracheal) - Ventilator management - Infection prevention
- Isolation precautions and use of PPE - Phlebotomy - Care of
surgical wounds with drains and wound vacs Description: This
position requires providing nursing care in an intensive care unit
setting. Supporting services include interpretation services, lift
teams, pharmacy, physical therapy, radiology, rapid response teams,
respiratory services, social services, and transportation. You will
be expected to manage a variety of critical patient needs and
conditions. On-call and weekend work is required. This role demands
a high level of teamwork and communication. You will utilize SBAR
communication techniques and document using Meditech. The dress
code is plain blue scrubs, and personal scrubs must not have logos.
Preferred skills and experience include neuro intensive care unit
and surgical intensive care unit experience, as well as ECMO.
Knowledge of post cardiac surgery protocols directly from the OR
and pre/post cardiac cath intervention will be beneficial.
Additionally, experience with pulmonary artery line monitoring is
preferred. Patient care will involve adults and geriatric
populations, with a typical daily census of 12. Flexibility to
float and coverage on weekends is required. This role fosters
interdisciplinary collaboration in a dynamic care environment.
