Description Supervisor Clinical Laboratory at Providence Saint John’s Health Center in Santa Monica, CA. This position is full-time and will work 8-hour, Day shifts. Ensures quality patient care in assigned areas of responsibility; Is responsible for the technical and scientific oversight of the assigned Laboratory section(s), trains and evaluates the technical competency of the section personnel. Makes clinical / technical decisions to resolve problems, to meet Hospital and departmental goals and assure quality patient care. Maintains the quality and security of departmental data. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree Biological Science or Chemistry. 1 year internship in approved Medical Technology program. Additional education in assigned section. Or Experience in assigned section. Upon hire: California Clinical Laboratory Scientist License California Or Upon hire: National Certification from American Society for Clinical Pathology Or Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Medical Technologists Or Upon hire: National Medical Technologist - American Association of Bioanalysts Or Upon hire: National Laboratory Tech - United States Government 4 years Experience (department specific) as Clinical Laboratory. Medical Technologist in hospital or medical setting. Preferred Qualifications: 2 years Supervisory experience in hospital or medical setting. Why Join Providence?
