Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Santa Monica,
California. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and

\n Job Description\n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN
for a Labor & Delivery position in California requiring a current
CA RN license and advanced perinatal certifications. \n \n
Responsibilities\n Work in an acute care hospital Labor & Delivery
unit with 4 antepartum rooms, 9 labor/high risk rooms, and 3 triage
rooms Care provided includes fetal heart monitoring, high-risk
pregnancy monitoring, vaginal deliveries, and C-sections May float
to postpartum and provide couplet care for newborns and mothers as
needed Night shifts (3x12 hours) from 19:00 to 07:30 Required to
work every other weekend No on-call responsibilities Utilizes Epic
charting system Main responsibilities include providing
comprehensive care to laboring patients, monitoring fetal health,
and assisting with deliveries and obstetric emergencies Must be
able to float to postpartum and assist with newborn care as needed
Night shift position with navy blue scrubs provided for L&D/OR
Must commit to working 3 of the 5 main holidays (Thanksgiving,
Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) Past
employees may return after a 3-month waiting period Candidates
residing within 50 miles are considered local References and
certifications must be provided for consideration Annual and
pre-start training modules required Travelers may be required to
float between facilities within the state \n \n Requirements\n
Active CA RN license in hand is required Minimum of 2 years recent
Labor & Delivery RN experience required Current certifications
required: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NRP, AWHONN Advanced or NCC EFM,
and FHM Experience with fetal heart and high-risk pregnancy
monitoring is required Experience with Epic EMR is required LA Fire
Card within the last 30 days is required Two supervisory references
from the past 3 years are required for consideration First-time
