Description:PD Nurse Assistant - Sjhc Ortho 5 MainThis position is an unlicensed healthcare worker who performs delegated routine, predictable patient care tasks under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) in an acute care environment. The RNSI is accountable for the delivery of safe, compassionate, evidence-based quality care to patients and families, based on individual physical, emotional, and spiritual needs, and appropriate care strategies throughout the lifespan. Practices in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act in the state of employment, the American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics for Nurses, and the ANA scope and standards of practice. Key functions and specific skills for the job are found in the unit specific onboarding checklist and in standards that are applicable to the specialty.Qualifications:Required qualifications for this position includes:

• Provides evidence of current enrollment, in good standing, in an accredited BSN or Entry Level Master's program (ELM) for registered nursing.
• Provides evidence of successful completion of an initial clinical care course (typically within the first clinical semester) within the enrolled nursing program.
• Requires ability to organize and prioritize work to complete assignments in a timely and effective manner.
• Documentation as a Certified Nursing Assistant by the State of California may be required in some clinical areas.
• Documentation of current completion of American Heart Basic Life Support is required.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider card must be from the following authorized governing bodies: American Heart
