• Adult and Geriatric Clinical and Research Psychiatrist Adult and Geriatric Clinical and Research Psychiatrist The Pacific Neuroscience Institute (PNI) The Pacific Neuroscience Institute (PNI) is seeking to hire a full-time board certified/board eligible adult and geriatric psychiatrist to work full time at our Pacific Brain Health Center (www.pacificbrainhealth.org ). The position covers a unique blend of clinical work and research with a focus on middle-aged and older adults with memory loss and associated mood/anxiety disorders. This is an exceptional opportunity for a physician with a strong clinical and research interest in Alzheimer's Disease and related memory disorders and a desire to better understand the role of preventive medicine in memory and mood disorders. Under the direction of Institute Director David Merrill, MD, PhD, the Pacific Brain Health Center has a substantial clinical and academic track record in the multi-disciplinary management of patients with all stages of memory loss (including subjective memory change, mild cognitive impairment, and all stages of AD and related dementias), and depression (from major depressive disorder, bipolar disorder, and/or secondary to behavioral disturbance due to dementing illness), including an active psycho-oncology program. Interested candidates should have a demonstrated clinical expertise and academic track record in treating patients with memory loss and mood/anxiety disorders, and experience with clinical trials. It is anticipated that the position will be approximately 50% clinical and 50% research time and effort. PNI Medical Group is part of Providence Health and is based at Saint John's Health Center in Santa Monica, CA. Currently, PNI is comprised of nine Centers of Excellence that includes 36 physicians across 10 specialties, 15 advanced practice providers, and 8 PhDs. Many of the PNI faculty are also faculty in the Department of Translational Neurosciences and Neurotherapeutics at Providence Saint John's Cancer Institute (saintjohnscancer.org ). PNI has an active teaching program that involves students (both undergrad, graduate, and post-doctoral fellows), as well as a robust CME program and long-standing patient education efforts in brain health.
