Schedule:Monday-Friday, 8am-4:30pm
SUMMARY
The Westside Outreach Teams Program Manager will provide leadership
and oversight to the Street Outreach teams (Malibu, Pacific
Palisades and West LA) of direct service staff and ensure that
appropriate, high-quality, and integrated care and services are
provided to clients. The goal of the outreach teams is to identify,
engage, and connect, or re-connect homeless individuals to interim
and/or permanent housing and supportive services. The Program
Manager, in collaboration with the Director and Assistant Director
of Westside Outreach, is also responsible for the efficiency of
operations, coordinating services with partner agencies as needed,
and fostering collaboration within the team between other
departments and programs. The Program Manager will also collaborate
on administrative aspects of team leadership, including data
oversight and reporting of outcomes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide guidance and support to staff, including encouraging
critical thinking among team members
Provide crisis intervention for clients when necessary and ensure
timely resolution of client complaints
Be available to respond to emergency calls and situations on a
24-hour basis when needed
Ensure that services emphasize customer choice and harm
reduction
Assist in budgetary oversight of program administration and ensure
program revenue and expenses are within the adopted annual
budget
As needed, assist in the screening, assessment, and enrollment of
participants including orientation to program policies resources,
and goals
Develop expert knowledge of documentation required by the agency
and the funders, and ensures compliance with documentation
standards, including electronic databases and paper charts.
Assist with preparing data for reports to funders, and track other
data as needed.
Ensure adherence to agency policies and procedures.
Facilitate weekly case conferencing and performance evaluations for
assigned staff, to create a supportive environment and ensure
clients' progress towards permanent supportive housing and
psycho-social rehabilitation.
Communicate effectively, and promptly, with management, peers,
collaborators, and clients.
Collaborate with other agency programs to provide greater support
and assistance to clients.
Maintain client confidentiality at all times, while following
agency, state, and HIPAA laws.
Work as part of an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive,
integrated care to individuals experiencing homelessness, mental
illness, and substance addiction.
Create and coordinate staff schedules.
Participate in ongoing self-evaluation, and program evaluation.

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in program management, staff management, and program
development
Skilled in navigating community partnerships and working with
neighborhood constituents and funders
Demonstrated knowledge of issues faced by population served
Strong computers skills: all Microsoft Office programs
Committed to improving the community through empowerment and
dignity
Skilled in non-violent crisis intervention
Ability to be on-call
Current, valid California Driver's with an acceptable driving
record
Able to obtain and maintain CPR/1st Aid certification
Skilled in data collection and electronic databases. Experience
with HMIS strongly preferred
Ability to self-motivate and be flexible in a fast-paced
environment with minimal supervision
Critical thinking skills necessary
Strong interpersonal and team-building skills to promote
collaboration
Detail-oriented with excellent time management, organizational,
written, verbal, interpersonal, presentation, team building, and
computer skills
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Regularly required to sit, stand, bend; occasionally lift or carry
up to 35 lbs.
On occasion walk or drive to different local sites
Will necessitate working in busy and loud environments
Will be exposed to elements like cold, heat, dust, noise, and
odor
May need to bend, stoop, twist and sit throughout the day
