They execute a strategic admissions plan in an effort to increase student enrollment while maintaining a commitment to the mission and standards of the school. They manage all aspects of the admissions process from inquiry to application to enrollment and maintain a warm, welcoming, and efficient operation. They manage and oversee the financial aid process.     • Develop a strategic recruitment and communication plan to reach targeted audiences, including identifying and implementing best-practice web-based technologies.
      • Develop and maintain relationships with key feeder schools and community organizations.
        • Develop and maintain relationships with incoming students and their families and with Head of Schools and school leaders at middle schools in the area. Ensure that the school's relational approach is carried out in admissions.
          • Identify emerging market opportunities, design effective targeting strategies, and report on results.
            • Work with the athletics and art departments to target key students.
            • Segment families in the admissions process assigning personalized outreach to appropriate Pacifica staff (academics, arts, athletics, spiritual life…)
            • Create a clear, simple, and user-friendly application and enrollment process.
            • Oversee enrollment thru Blackbaud. Oversee the admissions portion of the school website.
            • Gather information from current families to understand market needs while strengthening relationships with new families.
            • Continue to develop and maintain the International Program for Pacifica and all relevant admissions documentation, including I-17 petition and agency contracts.
              • Manage the relationships and legal contracts with the agencies that recruit international students.
              • Research credentials, understand fee structures and services offered, provide final approval for all homestay options, and verify all laws and legal expectations are fulfilled.
              • Strategic planning for marketing campaigns including messaging, demographic targeting, and timing with the Advancement Office.
              • Work with the graphic design team to create and update admissions material - print, web, video, promotional items (clothing, gifts…), and event decor.
              • Using an organized and efficient communications calendar, push out consistent messaging on key value propositions/good news to middle school families, middle school leadership and staff, transfer students, community partners, and beyond.
              • Work with the marketing team to extend our reach to new markets and to more families.Coordinate and Execute Admissions Events
                • Preview events include Open Houses, Visit Pacifica days, and Shadow Days.
                • Outreach events include coffee hours, high school fairs, grade, and middle school visits, church events, and related off-site events.
                • Accepted Student events include the Accepted Student Reception, Parent Orientation, The Gathering, and any strategic events that successfully onboard new parents to the Pacifica culture.
                • Team with the faculty and staff to give prospective families opportunities to visit the school for a personalized tour and meet with key faculty.
                • Work with the athletics and art departments on highlight admissions events such as the school musical, homecoming, and highlight athletic games.Oversee Admissions Staff and Volunteer Resources
                  • Supervise and oversee the Admissions and Enrollment Coordinator
                    • Coordinate applicant checklist needs, connect needs, and progress reports from families, MyPacifica, and the Director of Admissions.
                    • Oversight and implementation of the Ambassador Program, in collaboration with Student Life Coordinator and Associated Student Government.
                    • Coordination of student volunteer programs and Admissions Event planning
                    • Coordination of parent volunteer programs and Admissions Event planningFinancial Tracking, Reporting, & Systems
                      • With the Director of Business Operations, accurately project incoming tuition levels based on incoming students. These tasks include monthly admissions reports to the Executive Team, Quarterly reports for the Board of Directors and relevant third parties.
                      • Oversees the financial aid process.Other Duties & Shared Responsibilities
                        • Celebrates students by attending their co-curricular activities on occasion.
                        • Attends and readily participates in Pacifica's annual overnight All-School Retreat, Back-to-School Night, and Commencement activities.
                          • Attends administrative meetings, staff retreats, and board meetings as needed.Qualifications:The Director of Admissions & Enrollment is a person of deep and mature Christian faith who values and understands the liberal arts within a high school context and can effectively communicate the mission of the school to external audiences and networks. The Director of Admissions and Enrollment will exhibit integrity and honor, spiritual depth, possess management and administrative gifts, exhibit enthusiasm and high energy for the task, understand the various constituencies of Pacifica, communicate with warmth and understanding, work as a member of a team, and enjoy the challenge of consistently improving the school's efforts to attract, and retain, the highest quality student-body within the context of the school's mission.
                            • Embodies and promotes Pacifica's liberal arts mission, vision, core values, and charter documents.
                            • Mature and active Christian faith.
                            • Can communicate to Christian and secular families about the school mission and integration of faith and learning.
                            • Understands and can navigate the sensibilities of a large, influential, secular urban setting of West Los Angeles while holding firm to the mission and values of the school.
                            • A bachelor's degree; master's degree is preferred.
                            • Experience in education, preferably admissions—demonstrated leadership qualities.
                            • Proven success in a senior administrative role, preferably in working with a board of trustees.
                            • Possess the ability to think critically and creatively.
                            • Outstanding relational and interpersonal skills. Ability to connect with students, private school parents, administrators, and faculty.
                            • Outstanding communication skills. Proven track record and ability to speak to large groups of students and parents. Strong writing skills.
                            • Charismatic, friendly, and professional.
                            • Organized, detailed, and process-oriented.
                            • The ability to work collaboratively with other members of the school community.
                            • Ability to travel locally.
                            • Technology savvy.
                            • Wholeheartedly enjoys working with teenagers, championing their education, and encouraging their faith and Christian commitments.
                            • Experience planning events preferred.
                            • Arrives on time, is well-prepared, acts professionally, and seeks to add value in every facet of the job while working collaboratively with colleagues and students to advance Pacifica's mission.
                            • Maintains communication with parents and responds to messages within 24 hours.
                            • Holds themselves directly accountable to their direct report and to the departments they serve, and ultimately the Head of School.
