Job Description:
The Programming Manager of Gen Sports is responsible for
executing content programming strategies across the Media Network.
They will be responsible for translating insights into initiatives
to ensure successful releases, in close collaboration with
counterparts. They should have an eye for the best story telling in
sport and human accomplishments. They will identify content
offering opportunities and gaps in collaboration with internal
Media Network team members. Based on the Gen Sports content
programming strategy, they will support the US regions in defining
priorities and advise on considerations for release strategy.

* PLAYGROUNDS AND AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
General Sports Network: Use already established key learnings for
holistic, strategic cross-network release strategies to inspire our
audiences on managed and owned channels
Key Collaborator: Responsible for wholistic programming plans and
projects. Must advise how to best optimize content - in addition
they must be an expert in social and see the project through to
completion
Regions: Advise and support teams with content opportunities to
make it appeal to a wider, global audience. Share knowledge and
best practices. Work with regions to create an overview of the
upcoming calendar for content across social, short form, long form,
live, non-live, etc. across owned and managed
* KEY RESPONSIBILITIES, TASKS, ACTIVITIES
With a strong focus on general and broad reaching sport
disciplines, identify content opportunities and programming
objectives for the Media Network
Collaborate with regions to understand local priorities and needs.
Evaluate regional programming plans, identify national optimization
potentials and global up-levelling/release plans
Work with audience insights to analyze data and translate into best
practices and report on major project releases
Support programming for big impact projects and general topics such
as support for The Red Bulletin and potential 3rd party
acquisitions
Align on paid content marketing recommendations
Identify content offering opportunities across the Media Network
and provide recommendations for adjustment

EXPERIENCE
Your areas of knowledge and expertise
that matter most for this role:
* 4+ years of experience in storytelling and
campaign-driven/sports-focused strategy; experience in owned
channels a plus
* Strong planning, project execution, and story telling
competencies; analytical competencies are a plus
* Experience in the media space across many different forms of
content: including social, mid form - long form and yearlong
campaigns
* Knowledge of audience analytics, audience development, and the
ability to understand and learn from data
* Strong communication & organizational skills
* Collaborative problem-solver
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in related discipline
preferred
* English
* Travel 0-10%
* Permanent
