Key job responsibilitiesAs a Software Development Manager, you will lead a team of software development engineers to help us build and grow the software at the core of IMDbPro discovery experience to enable IMDbPro members discover talent, manage their brand, and find opportunities in the entertainment industry. You will manage full-stack development including web UI, web services, multi-tier web applications, mobile applications, and data systems. You will:Manage agile development process and methodology to deliver value to customersCollaborate with business stakeholders in developing long-term development and business technology strategiesOwn all operational metrics and support for your team's softwareBuild and manage a team of software engineersHire, mentor, and coach technical staffYou will work in a fast-moving team environment where you are able to juggle complex dependencies and requirements while producing optimal solutions. Come work with our great team of engineers, product managers, and UX designers.Basic qualifications7+ years of experience working directly within engineering teamsExperience partnering with product OR program management teams3+ years of people management experience, managing engineers3+ years of experience architecting and designing (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systemsPreferred qualification Master's in Computer Science or related fieldDeep hands-on technical expertise; prior experience as a software developer or software development manager preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of audiencesAbility to handle multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced environmentAbility to navigate ambiguity and delivery incrementally to the right directionA deep understanding of the software development life cycle, and a track record of shipping software on timeExperience designing software architectures for scalability, reliability and performanceAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
