• Continuously improve our environmental, health & safety performance which is a cornerstone of our future business success and fundamental to how Provivi does business. Health and safety are core values, and in this role, you will work with all departments to design, operate and maintain accident and injury-free workplaces for our employees, contractors, & visitors.
• Be accountable for providing support, guidance, and tools to all personnel to ensure a high Environmental, Health and Safety, security and training standard at Provivi's facilities.
• Ensure we live up to our commitment to minimize environmental, health and safety impacts during the design, manufacture, distribution, use and at the end-of-life of our products. Responsibilities Include:

• Provide safety leadership to Provivi's sites, developing and installing programs designed to achieve 0 injuries and improve the safety culture.
• Implement Provivi Safety Standards: development, updating and implementation of site-specific programs, policies and procedures, including development of required trainings (emergency procedures, workplace safety and other relevant topics.
• Lead site compliance: Identification of safety, health, and environmental risks globally in R&D and manufacturing facilities.
• Improves health and safety procedures for all areas of the company globally
• Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
• Ensure execution of routine audits of safe work management
• inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections for internal and external operating facilities. Includes review and evaluation of proposed new operating facilities
• Oversees activities associated with Process Hazard Analysis for new and modified process facilities.
• Responsible for managing global SDS portfolio.
• Monitors compliance of environment, health and safety procedures and recommends actions for non-compliance
• Lead and /or support audits. Drafts inspection reports to document inspection findings.
• Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible.
• Ensure execution of routine audits of safe work management
• Lead incident investigation to identify root causes and drive the implementation of corrective actions. Maintains records of discharge of employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Ensures compliance with all applicable EH&S laws and regulations.
• Implementation EHS&S policies, management systems and performance standards.
• Transparent reporting of our EHS&S metrics and progress against our commitments. Qualifications & Skills Include:
  • BSc/MSc/PhD in biology, environmental science, natural resources, chemistry, or related degree.
  • 15+ year's relevant industry or consulting experience in global EH&S related to R&D, manufacturing, and sales of crop protection products and technologies.
  • 15+ year's relevant industry or consulting experience in global product stewardship of agchem products.
  • Recognized technical expertise in your field with an established reputation in industry bodies and/or professional societies.
  • Proficiency with multiple regulatory frameworks including, but not limited to, FIFRA, TSCA, PMRA, CFIA, ESA, USFWS, USDA, FDA, OMRI, AAPCO, is required.
  • Proficiency with regulatory tools such as ChemWatch, NPIRS, PPLS, EPA databases, CDX/IUCLID, is highly desirable.
  • Knowledgeable of occupational safety programs, including behavioral based safety management, incident reporting and able to recognize health and industrial hygiene issues.
