Press Tab to Move to Skip to Content Link The Vice President, Digital & Social will develop global digital marketing strategy and lead the execution of digital marketing plans for STARZ and STARZPLAY originals, exclusive titles, and the STARZ/STARZPLAY brands. In this role, the VP will work with agencies and internal groups to maximize engagement across the digital environment by implementing customer-facing marketing online marketing experiences that extend the show brand, growing the social fan base, and increasing general awareness of STARZ and STARZPLAY and its original programming to create maximum engagement across the digital environment.

  • Lead the digital marketing team in the creation and execution of strategic digital marketing campaigns for all STARZ/STARZPLAY original series, exclusive titles, and overall brand.
  • Guide and manage external agencies in order to achieve digital goals and ensure that tactics deliver on return on investment.
  • Develop and build partner relationships to keep Starz at the forefront of innovate platforms and executions.
  • Optimize ways to extend the digital campaigns in support of STARZ Originals to affiliate partners extending reach of the digital efforts.
  • Identify custom content needs, talent support, etc. to promote Starz originals and build engaged social communities, working in conjunction with internal partners
  • Lead the creation and development of interactive experiences and new online content with external agencies Responsibilities
    • Work with the media team to develop targeted digital media plans, including: SEM, display, video distribution/promotion and non-traditional online engagement
    • Leverage trend analysis, tracking, and other reporting across series, content type and channel (site traffic, social, mobile, etc.) to ensure KPIs are met and resources optimized
    • Liaison to internal and external teams to analyze digital metrics and trends to improve and/or add functionality, drive higher engagement and longer time spent on site/page, and increase conversions in an effort to improve program performance.
    • Manage budgets, develop cohesive conclusions and present key findings to executive team
    • Evaluate emerging digital technologies, identify strategic partnership opportunities, advocate for innovation, and employ strategic thinking to connect digital, social, mobile, and evolving media components to the Starz business, ultimately leading viewers to our original programming and driving Starz subscriptions
    • Supervise and develop digital marketing team Experience & Skills
      • Bachelor of Art or Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing, Communication or similar discipline preferred; and/or training; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
      • 10+ years of prior marketing experience with at least 6 years of digital and social marketing experience
      • Prior supervisory experience including leading and developing teams
      • Experience in developing and implementing digital strategies with a proven ability to leverage research and analysis to drive strategic direction, best practices and process improvements; and/or training; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
      • International experience, including familiarity with markets, audiences and trends
      • Significant experience in the entertainment industry and working with talent and creators Experience & Skills Cont.
        • Demonstrated experience and passion for social media; educated in all current social platforms and new/on-the-horizon platforms.
        • Exceptional people and project management skills; ability to manage relationships with various business units, departments and consultants and external partners/agencies.
        • Must be able to prioritize, multitask, and focus while adhering to strict project timeline and budgets.
        • Strong understanding of growth and movement of digital landscape.
        • Experience with a variety of social and digital publishing, monitoring, and analytics tools such as Sprinklr, Adobe Social, Nielsen Social, Spredfast, Telescope, Percolate, etc.
        • Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with excellent time-management skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to function well in a collaborative, team oriented environment.
