About The Role

The person in this role will support the high growth of The Roku Channel business.--- This role will play a critical role in providing management with strategic analysis of new initiatives that support the growth of Roku's streaming service. In partnership with the Director, Programming Business Strategy and her team, you will develop key business insights and detailed business models, interpret business deals and term sheets, and interface with a broad set of internal teams.

The job provides the opportunity to gain an in-depth understanding of the streaming industry supported by both AVOD and SVOD monetization models.

This role reports to the Sr Manager, FP&A Programming. Preferably, the role will be based in Santa Monica and may require occasional travel to San Jose, CA and New York, NY. We are working a hybrid schedule, 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

What You'll Be Doing

• Build sophisticated financial models from scratch to enable business planning and decision-making
• Think strategically and help with tactical execution using the models to aid in scenario planning, overall strategy, and implementation
• Identify and present key industry trends and business insights
• Create financial dashboards & reporting for the Roku Channel, identifying key performance indicators and trajectory to plan & forecast
• Become an expert on streaming metrics and building a deep understanding of the unit economics of our business
• Play an integral role in the Company's financial planning process, including the annual, multi-year financial planning, and quarterly earnings cycles
  We're excited if you have
  
  • 5-10 years of experience in investment banking, strategy consulting, or entertainment related deal analysis
  • MBA preferred
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • A passion for Media or Content industry, but direct experience not required
  • Quick learner and comfortable taking on new projects with limited direction
  • Ability to understand complex business drivers, produce high-quality analytics and communicate results effectively
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator across multiple departments. Practices a service-oriented business partnering approach
  • Eagerness to work in a fast-paced team environment that will be rapidly changing
  • Comfortable in an evolving environment and eagerness for problem solving
  • Highest standards of accuracy and precision; highly organized
  • SAAS / SVOD experience preferred
