Position Description

Sensei Ag is looking for a CFO to help build a strong foundation for the company's next stage of growth. This key member of our management team will partner closely with our CEO, board, and management team to help accelerate Sensei Ag's growth and catalyze a fast-growing global tech company in the agriculture space.

Responsibilities

  • Build and lead our financial planning processes, including forecasting, budget planning, modeling, and financial analyses best practices
  • Drive the creation and maintenance of financial models, staying on target with all financial projections
  • Facilitate the creation of quarterly and annual budgets, while performing audits of all company finances
  • Forecast and manage cash flows, improving AR and inventory turnover to reduce burn rate
  • Implement and oversee various systems for cross departmental reporting
  • Assist the management team in evaluating the financial needs of each department in the long term
  • Hire and oversee strong execution capability in the finance and accounting departments, including giving direction and delivering periodic evaluations
  • Oversee financial reporting (external & internal) to ensure proper maintenance of all accounting systems and function, and supervise financial reporting staff
  • Oversee all accounting strategies and activities, including implementation of new accounting standards
  • Manage company compliance with income tax filings and provision
  • Review the monthly financial statements and review/approve key account reconciliations
  • Support the implementation of the new ERP system (NetSuite) and closely work with the IT team in resolving ERP issues related to finance and developing/implementing new reports/tools/process improvements
  • Review and update the SOX risk control matrices on a periodic basis for each of the significant financial processes. Coordinate and manage SOX audits
  • Assist in the preparation of materials for management and audit committee meetings
  • Manage day-to-day interactions with external auditing firms. Work with auditors to bring efficiencies to the audit process and complete successful annual audits
  • Develop and implement efficient inventory management and cost accounting systems including implementing financial ERP system with multiple stakeholders; integrating ERP with other business systems

    Preferred Skills, Abilities, And Qualifications
    • Five (5) years of CFO experience
    • Experience in ERP implementation
    • CEA/CPG experience

      Preferred Skills, Abilities And Qualifications
      • CPA, CFA, MBA or other relevant qualification is strongly preferred
