Location: Santa Monica, CAPosition SummaryAs a VFX Editor at Method Studios, you'll work closely with the internal production team to manage all relevant incoming data and outgoing deliverables. You'll be asked to update current working cuts with all necessary versions (from animatics through to final composites) for production & supervisors to review and ensure timely and effective communication with production and artists regarding any relevant cut changes by the clients. Final deliveries will also be passing through VFX editorial, so you'll need to be comfortable conforming final versions, tracking and maintaining multiple versions of edits, and exporting final sequences and edits to client specifications.Main Duties

• Maintain our internal VFX database with all the relevant information pertinent to shot work for artists and supervisors;
• Publish EDL / Quicktimes to our internal dailies system using a GUI interface or command line Shell script;
• QC outgoing deliverables to ensure compliance with client technical specifications;
• Exporting multiple final sequences, as well as the many various versions of edits, to client technical specifications. What You Bring
  • Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro; Media Encoder, etc;
  • A firm grasp of VFX workflow process and terminology;
  • Advanced understanding of various film and video formats, codecs, frame rates and resolutions;
  • Familiarity with Mac OS;
  • Excellent attention to detail and communications skills.It Would Also Be Helpful If You Had
    • Knowledge of Linux/command line;
    • Comfort with Adobe After Effects;
