Job Description Position Summary Under the direction of the Controller, the Data Entry Clerk has primary responsibilities of entering and posting of a high volume of accounts payable and accounts receivable of Community Corporation of Santa Monica (Community Corp.). Essential Position Responsibilities Process vendor invoices including: coding and posting invoices Process daily cash receipts including: scanning non-tenant checks and inputting cash receipts. Process monthly rent payments including: depositing rent checks and inputting rent payments Assist with various other accounting functions Skills Yardi experience a plus Multi-family real estate accounts receivable experience preferred Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel required Good verbal and written skills Good organizational skills Self-motivated and hard worker Ability to work independently Reliable Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent 1 year or more job experience preferred Minimum of one year of experience in high volume data entry. Supervisory Responsibilities No supervisory responsibility. Physical Requirements This position requires the ability to sit and use office equipment and computers for the majority of the workday. Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds. Work Environment The essential responsibilities of this position are performed in a busy office environment. This position must be able to keep focused in an environment with many interruptions and distractions.
