Chief Credit Officer in the greater Los Angeles, CA market. The CCO
functions as a member of the Executive Management team and serves
as the credit representative to the Board of Directors. The
selected candidate will be responsible for developing and
maintaining the quality of the Bank's overall credit portfolio
consistent with established policy and regulatory standards. The
main purpose of this position is to establish internal controls and
develop written policies and procedures for extending credit to the
bank's customers while ensuring that they effectively meet the
overall goals of the company.This position includes a generous
salary of up to $120K plus bonus and an excellent benefits
package.Chief Credit Officer responsibilities include:
- Managing all aspects of the credit risk management function
including design, execution, and communication of policy, approval
process, administration, and portfolio analysis.
- Developing alliances with other departments to develop
strategies and create personally tailored credit-related products,
that are right for the clients and the Bank, leading to the overall
growth of the Bank's loan portfolio.
- Developing and maintaining standardized policies and procedures
to assure the effective delivery of Credit Products for the bank
and enhance the overall quality of the Bank's loan portfolio.
- Providing a monthly Credit Administration report to the Board
of Directors.
- Overseeing and enforcing credit underwriting and loan
documentation to make sure requirements are met.
- Maintaining ongoing support of the Bank's credit culture for
all significant lending units, which include broad client segments
such as consumer, business, commercial and corporate banking.
- Providing oversight for an effective credit approval process
within the company that supports the credit risk appetite of the
Bank while also facilitating desired asset growth objectives.
- Formulating, reviewing, and approving lending policies and
procedures.
- Responsible for the Allowance for Loan and Lease Losses
(ALLL).
- Representing the Bank in various community, civic, and
community reinvestment functions to further enhance the Bank's
image and develop additional business; assists the Bank in
establishing and maintaining market position in the financing
arena.
- Serving on the Loan Committee and the ALCO Committee.
- Other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned by

- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree preferred in finance or
related areas.
- Ten or more years of commercial, SBA, and consumer lending,
underwriting, and Credit Administration.
- Knowledge of Bank regulatory issues and experience with such
agencies.
- Experience in workouts and restructuring.
- Proven record of strong problem solving and analytical
skills.
- Prior leadership and management experience required.
- The ability to cross-sell Bank's products and services to
existing clients as well as prospects.
- Superior negotiation, relationship building, and professional
