Job Description:

We are looking for an energetic and hands on financial controller to join our fast growing business. We are very much a startup, and embrace the culture of everyone getting involved - across the business! You will play an important role in bringing organizational discipline and control across our company's finances.

We are a multifaceted organization with a funds management business with a newly launched fund (www.faes.co/invest); and operate a private lending business focussed on the short term mortgage market here in the US (www.f2yes.com).

There will be various aspects of the role, and you will work across our fund and lending businesses. You will be hands-on and actively involved in a range of tasks and responsibilities, including:

• Bookkeeping and bank account reconciliation for various entities across the group
• Organizing monthly management accounts for our group
• Organizing and managing budgets; payment of invoices
• Leading the relationship with our fund auditors
• Leading the relationship with our external accounts for the preparation of tax filings etc
• Monitoring inflows, and forecast outflows for our fund; and investor income payments
• Monitoring incoming loan payments, and portfolio management for our loan book
• Assisting with investor reporting for our fund
• Oversee payroll for the group This is primarily an office based role, from our offices in Santa Monica CA.
  
  Requirements
  • 4+ years of experience, in a job of relevant experience
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, MBA a plus
  • Strong working knowledge of relevant accounting principles
  • Strong financial common sense
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
  • Experience using the latest cloud based business efficiency platforms such as Google Business Appls, Notion and Slack etc. Benefits
