Americans.GoodRx is seeking a smart, organized, and driven
individual to join our fast-paced finance team as a Tax Director.
This role will report to the VP of Tax and will lead multiple
complex projects in tax and related areas. In addition, this role
will work closely with finance, equity, and operations to deliver
tax recommendations, implement tax processes on acquisitions,
enhance current tax operations, and assist where
needed.Responsibilities:
- Lead the review and coordination of GoodRx's quarterly and
annual ASC 740 tax provision calculations. This includes review of
tax reserve analysis, valuation allowance analysis, tax account
rollforward, and income tax footnote disclosures. Perform and
document SOX 404 controls for tax accounting and reporting.
- Assess, research, and analyze income tax accounting and tax
compliance implications of mergers and acquisitions and significant
business transactions. In addition, assist with the tax integration
of the mergers and acquisitions into GoodRx's tax structure.
- Review federal and state income tax returns, extension
requests, and estimated tax payments, including all supporting
workpapers.
- Lead R&D tax credit calculation and documentation
project.
- Perform other special projects, as needed.
- Support continuous improvements in tax function processes to
optimize efficiency, including collaboration with different
internal and external parties.
- Keep up-to-date on latest trends and changes to tax legislation
to immediately assess impacts to tax provision, compliance, and
planning efforts.About Your Experience:
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in a tax accounting role.
- Experience working in Big 4 public accounting firm, corporate
tax department, or combination thereof.
- Experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.
- Deep knowledge and practical application of ASC 740.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and federal and state
taxation.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize projects in a fast-paced
environment to drive them to completion with minimal oversight and
direction.
- Experience working in a team under pressure to meet deadlines
with the ability to think critically.
- Ability to identify a resourceful and creative approach for
problem solving while always ensuring compliance with laws and
regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required.
- CPA and Master's in Taxation (both preferred).Compensation
decisions are determined using a variety of factors such as skill
set, experience, and education or certifications. If we extend an
offer for employment, we will consider all individual
qualifications. Below are our salary ranges for this position based
on office location: Santa Monica Office: $141,000 - $226,000GoodRx
