us on our journey.We are looking for a stellar Accounting Manager
to join our rapidly growing team. Reporting to the CEO and working
in collaboration with our CFO/integrations team, you will be a
trusted partner, building out and managing various aspects of the
accounting operations, including accounting operations for both the
brick & mortar stores, as well as the e-commerce business. -
Experience in the Coffee industry is a plus, and hospitality and/or
restaurant or caf-- experience is a must. - If you have a strong
technical accounting and operation foundation, demonstrated ability
to build accounting controls, processes, and systems in a high
growth environment, extreme attention to detail and taking on
multiple projects, and a working knowledge of Quickbooks and Excel,
we'd love to have you apply.Upon joining the team, the first 90
days will include:
- GBB onboarding, where you'll learn the ins and outs of
goodboybob, meet our team and interact with our products
- Understand the financial and operational goals of each of our
highly curated offerings in coffee, food, pastry, and wine
programs.
- Work with our existing team to successfully navigate our key
internal tools, including Toast, Shopify, Woo Commerce, Cropster,
and Quickbooks
- Dive into the monthly accounting process and manage it from
beginning to end, including maintenance of the general ledger,
preparing journal entries and account reconciliations for month-end
close, monthly preparation of financial statements, cash
reconciliations and analysis of cash flow, cost controls, labor
rates, and operations optimization
- Review and manage payroll and bi-weekly submission of
hours/tips; work closely with our HR and payroll partner to ensure
employees are paid timely and accurately
- Manage the disbursement of cash, including both to vendors and
employee expense reports/corporate cards, ensuring that internal
policies are followed
- Begin to identify and remediate any control weaknesses that
exist in the financial reporting and operation processes
- Produce and distribute budget for each of the departments; work
with department leadership to monitor spend and identify
opportunities for cost savings and greater returns on investment

- Understand the e-commerce operational aspects of the business
and ensure GBB systems are communicating effectively with
Quickbooks; work with our outsourced integration partners to
streamline processes and workflows.Other responsibilities include:
- Work with CEO and leadership team on ad-hoc projects
- Collaborate with other departments as they develop strategies,
establish objectives, and make decisions that could have a
financial impact on the business
- Implement and/or enhance systems, policies, and processes to
drive efficiencies
- Implement and/or enhance systems and processes around ensuring
our hourly and salaried employees are paid accurately and work with
our HR and payroll partner to ensure proper compliance with all
laws, including vacation and PTO tracking
- Support budget and forecasting activitiesYou should apply if
you are:
- 5+ years of experience in accounting/finance roles within
high-growth hospitality, multi-unit restaurant, or caf-- companies.
- Direct experience with Coffee a plus
- Experience in e-commerce and subscription programs, including
creating models to track key subscription metrics such as CAC,
Churn, lifetime value, and others.
- Skilled with Quickbooks and other software, including Toast,
Hubspot, Bill.com, Shopify, Cropster, Woo Commerce, Shipsbeans,
and/or equivalent systems experience preferred -
- Knowledge of non-GAAP industry metrics applicable to
hospitality, restaurant, and/or Coffee companies
- Knowledge and experience with Excel
- Knowledge of financial/accounting requirements and
concepts
- Strong attention to detail, with well-developed analytical and
problem-solving skills
- Ability to work with a high level of initiative and
adaptability in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
simultaneously
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance and CPA designation
